EastPoint Development ~ An Equitable Award Nominee

Join us for a tour of the EastPoint Development guided by our very own Candace Baitz with Pivot Project. We will meet at Kindred Spirits for a drink and appetizers and then head out for the tour.

EastPoint is a project that attempts to reverse decades of redlining and the subsequent effects of a disenfranchised community. While overcoming significant hurdles due to decades of disinvestment, the hope is that now the path will be easier for those in the community to rebuild their community. This project has provided a medical clinic to a community that greatly lacked medical access, a grocery store in a designated food desert, two non-profits serving the area, and 8 black-owned businesses of which half are women-owned businesses. Currently EastPoint is up for the ULI Americas Awards for Excellence.
